* A tragic loss for the yoga community

The Peninsula yoga community has lost a very dear friend recently when Feliciana Briggs passed away on November 9 in San Diego. Feliciana had been living in the Peninsula these past few years recently graduated from Stanford. She had been a yogini from a very young age - having lived in an ashram for part of her youth - and her recent practice focused mostly on Ashtanga. Feliciana had also taught the Intro to Ashtanga classes at YogaSource in Palo Alto earlier this year. She enjoyed the arts, running, writing and chanting. Feliciana had just moved to San Diego after graduating in the spring. We will all miss her warmth, love for helping others - especially through her teaching, and zest and passion for life.

* Yoga Quote of the Month

"The world may be chaotic around you; it may be full of fluctuations; it may be fearful; it may be full of pain; but the Yogi aims to be in peace even though circumstances are not."

Gurani Anjali

As always, we look forward to seeing you in class,

Thank you from the whole team at YiY!
